GOLDENDALE ECLIPSE-DAY INFO on August 21, 2017 (July 27,2017)

For the first time in 99 years, a Total Eclipse of the Sun will be conveniently witnessed from coast to coast of the United States. GOLDENDALE ECLIPSE-DAY INFO Monday, August 21st Goldendale, WA is slightly North of the Path of Totality but the Observatory will be open for special hours from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. ​​Crowds are expected to be extreme; Observatory Hill will be closed to traffic during this event and overnight parking is not permitted. Advance reservations are not being taken and facility access will be gained on a first come, first serve basis via shuttle buses staging at Goldendale High School, starting around 7 a.m.​ Five viewing stations will be available for visitors:  Goldendale Observatory (via shuttle bus) Klickitat County Courthouse Lawn   Stonehenge Memorial Maryhill  Museum of Art ​Maryhill Winery ​Be safe and use approved solar viewing eye protection!
