PSRG Board Election Results
   I would like to inform the membership of the outcome of our board elections today at the Annual General Meeting.
          Tim Helming, WT1IM was elected Vice President.
          Bill Thomassen, N6NBN was elected to board position #1.
          LW Abel, K7LWA was elected to board position #3.
   I congratulate them for offering to serve and their election, and look forward to working with them on the board in the coming year.
   I'd like to also thank our departing board members:
          Tyler Heinemann, AF7BO;
          Jessica Phipps, KF7UHK; and
          Jon Newstrom, KL7GT
   for their service over the past 2 years.
   Please join me in welcoming and thanking all of these volunteers.

2017 PSRG Annual Meeting

    The PSRG Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday January, 29th 2017, 1-4pm at the EOC and at that time the membership will be electing a Vice President, and two Board Members (seats #1 and #3).
    The speaker for this year's meeting will be Bob Gudgel, K7IQ.  Bob is a former PSRG board president and avid ham who is passionate about solar and other alternative power solutions and will be speaking to us about solar power for the radio amateur.  He is a founder of Midnight Solar in Arlington Washington and has been a principal in several other energy related engineering companies during his career.
    In addition to the business meeting and Bob's talk, there will be time to socialize before the meeting gets underway and we'll have reports from the president and secretary/treasurer.  We also have some great door prizes and giveaways for those attending.
Please plan to arrive by 1pm sharp or a bit before.
   The building will be open from 12:45 or so and you will be required to sign in.  Hope to see many of you there.

2017-Spring HAM Training Classes (Jan 06, 2017)

2017-Spring HAM Training Classes

The Federal Way Amateur Radio Club is sponsoring two FREE licensing classes in Federal Way,
    1   an entry level class for the Technician License and a
    2   General Licensing class.
Both classes will be on January 14 and 21, 2017 at the
    Federal Way Masonic Hall
    1700 South 340th Street
    Federal Way, Way, WA 98003

These classes have several instructors to answer all the students questions.
There are over 60 pages of handouts for each student, plus many show and feel items and YouTube videos.
There is a very high pass rate from these classes.
To register a student only needs to send their name and class they want to attend in an email to   KL7WM@aol.com

here is a class in Enumclaw this month.
Technician Class will be taught at the Enumclaw LDS building, 246 Semanski Street, Enumclaw, WA,
Friday Jan. 13, 6 to 9PM,
Saturday Jan. 14, 8AM to 1PM
and Saturday Jan 21, 8AM to 1PM
followed by the license exam at 2PM.

We have scheduled four Technician Licensing Classes in Ballard for 2017

 February 11 and 18, 2017
April 22 and 29, 2017

 There will also be a General Licensing Class on
November 4 and 11, 2017

 The classes are from 9 AM to 5 PM both days
FREE, but the test at the end of the second day cost $ 15
